CNC AUTOMATIC GRINDING MACHINE FOR AXLES MODEL “3SSA/CNC”
The 3SSA/CNC machine is designed for the finishing of railway axles, combining advanced automation, precision, and repeatability in every operation. Thanks to an innovative system, it optimizes production times and improves the quality of the finished product while minimizing manual intervention.
This machine is equipped with an abrasive belt and two brushes, each independently controlled by the CNC system to perfectly adapt to the different geometries of the axle. The abrasive belt is used for grinding straight surfaces, ensuring uniform material removal, while the brushes are specifically designed to process radiused parts, ensuring a homogeneous satin finish, even in more complex areas.
The intuitive CNC interface allows operators to set all machining parameters, including sections to be processed, reference diameters, axle rotation speed, abrasive belt and brush pressure, and the number of passes for each section. The ability to store each configuration ensures repeatable and optimized machining, reducing setup times.
After selecting the program and pressing the Start button, the axle, locked between the spindle and the tailstock, begins to rotate. Simultaneously, the abrasive belt and/or brushes perform the machining process in sync, grinding all preset sections.
