CNC AUTOMATIC GRINDING MACHINE FOR AXLES MODEL “SSA/CNC”
The SSA/CNC machine is designed for the finishing of railway axles, combining advanced automation, precision, and repeatability in every machining process. Thanks to an innovative system, it optimizes production times and enhances the quality of the finished product while minimizing manual intervention.
This machine is equipped with an abrasive belt, which is controlled by the CNC to perfectly adapt to the different geometries of the axle. The abrasive belt is used for grinding both straight and radiused surfaces, ensuring a homogeneous satin finish even in the most complex areas.
The intuitive CNC interface allows the operator to set all machining parameters, including the sections to be processed, reference diameters, axle rotation speed, abrasive belt pressure, and the number of passes for each section. With the ability to store every configuration, the system ensures repeatable and optimized machining, reducing setup times.
After selecting the program and pressing the Start button, the axle, locked between the spindle and the tailstock, begins to rotate. At the same time, the abrasive belt carries out the machining process, grinding all the preset sections.
